Olympic Taekwondo Centre was established by Master Jemal Hasan in 1977. Since then we have become one of the best martial arts clubs in Australia with its world class instructors, family atmosphere, friendly environment and fully equipped facilities, it is rare opportunity to find a better place to be!
For over 35 years Master Jemal Hasan has been working not just towards producing quality athletes but also good citizens who contribute to their society. His aim is to educate students about; respect for their parents, teachers and society; integrate the discipline on law and order matters; guide students on setting and achieving goals; and most evidently, teach them life protection through self defence.
To date, Master Jemal Hasan has raised countless successful world champions in kickboxing including Baris Nezif, Tibet Hamza and Gurkan Ozkan. He also has many international athletes in Taekwondo with many major achievements such as participating and winning medals at World Cup Championships, Oceania Championships and World Championships.
One of the biggest highlights would definitely have to be the 2008 Olympics. Burak Hasan of Olympic Taekwondo Centre represent Australia in 2008 Olympic Games opening the pathway for other talented athletes within the club.
Olympic Taekwondo Centre's curriculum is Taekwondo and Boxing/Kickboxing based. To maintain international training and grading standards, all programs are regulated by the World Taekwondo Federation.
The objectives of Taekwondo and Olympic Taekwondo Centre are:
• To develop an appreciation for Taekwondo as a sport and an art.
• To improve mental discipline and emotional equanimity.
• To learn self-defence skills.
• To develop a sense of responsibility for one self and others.
• For children to learn vital life skills as part of our unique Taekwondo, age specific programs.
